Prayer Cover for Others

When the waters rushed over Texas, all I could do was pray for the safety of those caught up in the sudden swells. When the fires began to rage across Montana’s mountains, all I could do was pray for the safety of those fighting walls of fire. It might seem insignificant in the midst of such tragedies, but it is in thought and prayer that I help bear the burdens of family, friends and even strangers, knowing without doubt that even if I am not there to help, God is!

Texas, Montana, the Virgin Islands, Florida —  You are top of mind this week and at the top of the prayer list! Monday, I invited AG 1280’s radio audience to pray with me. I hope more will click on the #CountryGalCorral Sept. 4, 2017 podcast available online and be reminded of the tragic events rocking our country, and to keep the prayers going. From the state of Missouri to the mouth of the Missouri River, we are connected. From small farms to widespread Texas ranches we are united. From my heart to yours, I am invested. God bless our friends in the Northwest, and those to the South and East who are each facing heartaches and hazards in need of prayer and healing.

This clip said well how we come together as community, no matter how far apart we may live. Help is needed and will be for sometime. It is costing on average $600,000 per day to battle the forest fires. Millions of dollars will be needed for assisting with flood clean up in Texas and Louisiana. Here are a few reliable sources through which you can donate help or services.

Pray about how you can help, pray for the tragedies to end and keep on praying for our country to heal.
