2011
2011 started in a whirlwind as our oldest son was named Mo. Farm Bureau Male Ambassador and the very next day I received notice from the U.S. Sec. of Agriculture that I was being appointed to the Cattlemen's Beef Promotion and Research Board. We were both busy as "Agvocates" that year!

2010
From one side of the state to the other, talking to folks about cattle then singing praises to the Lord! Speaking at women's conferences and signing new releases!
The KC Western Farm Show was a great opportunity to see old friends and make some new acquaintances. So glad for everyone who stopped to get an autographed copy of "Were You Born in a Barn?" and what a nice compliment from folks who stopped to tell me they were already a fan and had a copy in their hand!
All ages gathered for the Jefferson Co. Cattlemen's Annual Meeting. What a fun and hospitable group! I enjoyed getting to meet all of you and encourage you in the beef business - with all its good, bad, ugly and unbelievable blessings! Sure hope all of you who purchased "I Stand" or "Were You Born in a Barn?" use the books as tools to bless others who live around St. Louis!

ck home at Ohio Christian Church, the week ended with a wonderful day full of grace! I am still hearing the packed house of beautiful women lifting their voices together to glorify our Amazing God! What a treasure to be part of the praise team and emcee for such an encouraging day. Thank you to my sisters in Christ at OCC for all you do and the way you love on my family and me. And thank you to all the ladies who were excited for me and my book projects and took one home as a reminder of our time together.
Thanks to the ladies of Double Branch for your hospitality and tender hearts.
What a blessing to have the honor of imparting God's Word and Wisdom to others by first learning the lessons myself. I've had audience members say how much it encourages them to know that I am so transparent and experience some of the same struggles as they do. I assure you it's true! And what you see, is what you get -- a work in progress!

New Children's Book Released
At the center of the story is love of family. That's why the team effort to bring Cowboy Pete to reality was especially heartwarming. Jean Shaw, my mom (on the right) created the original verse and melody for the inspiration behind this interactive read. Robert Morris (on the left) is not only a talented art professor, but a life-long friend. What a thrill to see this beloved book finally ready to bless a whole lot of other families!
Rave reviews are already coming in from Grandmas and their little dogies!!!!

July 24, 2010 was spent in the company of beautiful women learning how to live "Wholly Holy." We took a journey through a tough topic and walked away challenged to walk worthy!

at the Heart of America Christian Writer's Conference in November.
Who knows, Dr. Ted Baehr may help Pam's story make it to the big screen some day!
Ted Baehr (center) is Founder and Publisher of MOVIEGUIDE: The Family Guide to Movies and Entertainment and Chairman of the Christian Film & Television Commission ministry. His lengthy resume includes: "noted critic, educator, lecturer, and media pundit...with his life's purpose to be used of God to redeem the values of the media while educating audiences on how to use discernment in selecting their entertainment."
Baehr's mission is to show movie studios the costly error of their assumptions that movie goers prefer foul language and explicit sexuality. The data amassed by Baehr's commission proves otherwise. He takes those truths and offers them as tools that will lead to more noble entertainment for viewers and higher box office sales for the movie makers. He is making significant progress. You've probably applauded some of the results of his influence by enjoying films like "Up," "The Incredibles," "Blind Side," "Facing the Giants," "Fireproof," and the adorable "Despicable Me" along with hundreds of other family-friendly productions.
Dr. Baehr's positive accomplishments and his prowess are impressive. But having visited with this humble and kind gentleman several times over the course of three days and getting to know him as a brother in Christ, I love most that he's real in a world of make believe. Though he rubs elbows with the rich and famous of Hollywood, he is just as comfortable chatting with me. He even wanted to have his picture taken with Pam and me to help promote "I Stand."
Two actors choosing the high road give me hope that more good stuff is about to come out of Hollywood. Left is Torry Martin - a delightfully hilarious story teller and comedian who loves the Lord. And on the right is Michael Joiner, who will star in a new release The Grace Card, Feb. 2011.
