July 27 - New Book Release Party
Location: Ciao! Bella Ristorante
Thank you to all who came to celebrate with us last night! We were overwhelmed by your love and energy and inspired to hear how you are already using I Stand as a tool of ministry! Keep passing along the hope.
When we hear that Pam's story helped you to see God's hand in your life - to know hope is real - to think of someone who needs encouragement - to know the story, yet discover layers of transparent honesty revealed in the pages -- Well, frankly it is all just completely humbling. And heavenly!!!!
From the very beginning, we prayed that this book would not just be a diary, but a divine instrument to share God's grace and win souls for Christ. It is truly an honor to be his instrument in a story bigger than we ever could have imagined. Praise God, He is being glorified!!!!! I believe in miracles and I stand amazed at how God continues to take tragedy and transform it into triumph!

Aug.13-17 - Book Signings at Missouri State Fair, Sedalia, MO
In heat and shade, they came - by the thousands -- to the State Fair. What a delight to meet so many folks from all over and get to share Pam's true, miraculous story. Thank you to the Missouri Cattlemen and Cattlewomen for your encouragement. It was my pleasure to see part of the proceeds from each sale of "I Stand" go to your wonderful scholarship programs.
When I wasn't signing books out front of the MSF Beef House, you may have caught me cooking up a beef demonstration inside the Missouri Cattlewomen's Beef Showcase! This book signing served up the pleasure of two entirely different aspects of my life mingled together in a savory aroma like a family's favorite beef recipe! Thank you to the hard-working members of the MCA affiliates for all you do to promote the beef industry -- and thanks for making "I Stand" available in and out of your excellent facilities.

I was overwhelmed with the passion and appreciation offered by the ladies who have read "I Stand" with open hearts and minds. Keep on reading! We'll be meeting again to pour over our favorite chapters and go deeper.

Oct. 17 - Cubbage Country Market, Nevada, MO
Cold breezes and a misty morning could not quell the warm reception at the Cubbage Farm. Cheery orange pumpkins dotted the lawn and hundreds of customers dropped by to congratulate the Cubbage family on 15 years of faithful service to the community. It was like coming home for me and a true pleasure to spend the day basking in their joy and hospitality as well as meeting some loyal "Word's Out!" column readers. Thank you for all of your kind words and encouragement. Pam and I were blessed abundantly!!
The Cubbage Family + TWO! Here's to four generations of this Vernon County farm family for feeding the community both physically and spiritually. You are a blessing to all who know you!

Nov. 24 - Sycamore Grove Mennonite Church, Garden City, MO
The opportunity to share stories from behind the story blessed us immensely. Even better, we got to pray with some beautiful Christian sisters who shared their joy for the ministry of I Stand. Thank you for a special evening full of grace and gratitude.
Pam and I pause to pray with the dear ladies of the Sisters of Sycamore who are reaching out to their community with hospitality. I was so blessed to hear words of encouragement for our ministry, but also to hear about the good work of our friends in this beautiful little chapel in the grove.

Dec. 12-13 - Missouri Cattlemen Convention and Trade Show, Springfield, MO
My new release, Were You Born in a Barn, made it's debut! I was thrilled with the response from hundreds of fellow beef producers. Thanks for all of your support and enthusiasm! I pray the book blesses over and over.
It's always a delight to have my handsome sons helping me. Both Cooper and Austin were great company. Austin, the Missouri Jr. Cattlemen President, stopped to congratulate me between his many activities.
I get asked often: "Who is that on the cover?" Well, that's my nephew, Kyle, and his wife. They were wonderful sports to pose tirelessly until we captured just the right expression for the book. In fact, Angie's eyes say it all!
